This morning, Natalie and Clelia from the NSPCC came to school to talk to us about keeping safe. They brought in a big blue speech bubble toy called Buddy saying chldren have the right to speak our. Natalie talked about all the different worries children might have and asked the children for their contributions. They talked about the different types of abuse, physical, emotional and sexual abuse. They talked about abuse NEVER being the child's fault. We watching a short video showing what happens when a child calls Childline. The children then learned a little song with actions, "I have the right to speak out to keep safe. You have the right to speak out to keep safe. We all have the right to speak out to keep safe." This was a very good assembly, we learned a lot of new things.
