This afternoon we made static-powered dancing ghosts! We drew our own ghosts on a piece of tissue paper and cut it out. We got a blown up balloon and rubbed it really fast through our hair to create a static charge. Slowly we brought the balloon close to the ghost and it began to slowly rise to the balloon. After we rubbed the ballons through our hair, invisible electons built up on the surface of the balloon. The electrons had the power to pull very light objects towards them, our tissue ghosts!

This afternoon we made static-powered dancing ghosts!  We drew our own ghosts on a piece of tissue paper and cut it out.  We got a blown up balloon and rubbed it really fast through our hair to create a static charge.  Slowly we brought the balloon close to the ghost and it began to slowly rise to the balloon.
