Today, ten children from across Year 3, 4 and 5 went to Cardinal Newman to begin their Chaplaincy training. The children were joined by other children in our cluster group. We came together to learn about how to set up prayer/liturgy times and Masses in our schools. We looked and experienced different resources we can use for these occasions. We were all very impressed and realised that we can take these ideas back to school. Some themes were; looking at saying sorry, forgiveness, examination of conscience, using the Bible as a resource and thinking of others around us. We then had our lunch which we were ready for! After lunch, we spent some time preparing for our Mass with Father Tom. It was beautiful, the children read well and sang like angels. It really was a great day with lots of ideas for us as a Liturgy Team to take back to school.
