12.12.16. This afternoon we lit three candles on our Advent Wreath. Two purple ones and a pink one as we are joyously waiting the arrival of Jesus. We sang our "Light the Advent Candle" adding the third verse. We started to create our own Nativity scene so used a wash to create the outline of the pictures. Daniel blew out the candles at the end of our session.
This afternoon, some children from Year 3 and Year 4 came together to learn more about Advent. We began by saying a prayer and singing the first verse of, "Light the Advent Candle One." We started to make our Christmas decorations too, we are being very careful as we want to do our very best.
This afternoon, 5.12.16, we lit two candles on the Advent Wreath and sang two verses of "Light the Advent Candle." We carried on making our wonderful Nativity stocking, they look really good. Today we experienced a Guided Meditation, we listened to the story of Mary and Joseph in the busy town of Bethelehem. We found the meditation calming and made us really think about Mary and Joseph's difficult journey. At the end Dermott blew out the two candles on the Advent Wreath.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
