During our first Advent Club session, we discussed the meaning of the Advent wreath and what candle we should light. We then went on to talk about the great importance of Archangels in our faith. The children talked about the visit to Zacharius and of course Our Lady. We then went on to making our own angels that we can hang on our Christmas tree at home. We sang 'Light the Advent Candle One'. We finished, as we started, with a prayer and Kymani blew out the candle.
During our second Advent Club, we lit two candles and sang 'Light the Advent Candle.' We finished off our wonderful angels, they will look lovely on our Christmas trees. We continued our session by discussing the Jesse Tree and we decorated some symbols which will be hung up on the Jesse Tree in Church.
As part of our Advent preparations, the children in Advent researched the Jesse Tree and produced beautiful pictures for the Jesse Tree in Church.
During our third Advent Club, we lit three candles, two purple and one pink. We experienced a lovely meditation when we went to talk to Mary. We sang, 'Light the Advent Candle Three.' Today, we began making our little Advent Wreath.
During our fourth Advent Club the children completed their Advent Wreaths, they are beautiful. We also experienced a lovely meditation about the Nativity. We sang and said some special prayers too.
