This morning, Class 9 presented a wonderful assembly all about the meaning behind Bonfire Night. It was very interesting as we learned about the group of people who wanted to blow up the Houses of Parliament. We learned that it was a very difficult time to be a Catholic and that many people died for their faith. The children sang and danced and read out bidding prayers. Some girls danced a very thoughtful dance as the other children sang a beautiful song about Our Lady. At the end of the assembly, Mialle and a couple of her friends told us about how we are raising money for Macmillan and the wonderful work they do by arranging a cake sale and non-uniform day. We remembered Mialle's mum who sadly died in August with cancer.
