This afternoon, Year 3 went to Saint Mary's Church to experience walking through the Door of Mercy during this Year of Mercy. We looked around this beautiful Church, at all the different signs and symbols, the altar, pulpit, stations of the cross and the stained glass windows. We were lucky to be able to go into the little Chapel beside the altar where we were able to say our own personal prayers. At the back of the Church there was a little room where a relic of Saint Faustina and a huge painting of the Divine Mercy is kept. This was very exciting for Class 7 as Saint Faustina is our class saint. We said the very special prayer together, 'Jesus in thee I trust.' It was a very moving and spiritual afternoon and we all took something away with us to cherish for ever.
