Year 6 have been learning all about ‘The Greenhouse Effect’ and how this impacts on our climate
Whilst in Dol-y-Moch, children will be completing their John Muir Award. We have researched who John Muir was and what we will be doing to complete the award.

01.11.19 This half term we have started to develop our strength, balance and agility on the school gym equipment.
10.10.19 Today we participated in a BBC live lesson on growth mindset. Following the lesson, we wrote positive affirmations about our peers. Each day a different person will be able to pick out a comment and read it out to the class. Over the next few weeks, each child will be able to hear something lovely said about them.
02.10.19 Father John came to speak to us about his knowledge of WW2 to support our learning in History. We spoke about the causes of war, rationing, evacuation and the implications of the war. He answered our questions about the topic and discussed moral dilemmas with us.
26.09.19 - NSPCC workshop
25.09.19 - History show and tell. Today children brought in old coins and memorabilia from WW2. A child also brought in an information booklet to help support our learning about rationing in WW2.

11.09.19 - In French today we revised one of our favourite French songs.
06.09.19 - This afternoon we had our first PE lesson with Miss Sullivan and Mr Turley. We learnt about the rules of rounders and practised our fundamental movement skills before starting a hole class game of rounders. The rain did not stop us!
05.09.19 - In today’s science lesson we were learning about classification as part of our living things and their habitats topic. We were able to classify sweets into groups as a result of their distinctive features.
03.09.19 - Mr Hadlum, Miss Sullivan and Mr Turkey helped us to complete our fundamental physical assessments. These included balance, coordination and agility activities.
