Art and Design at Christ the King

We love being creative here at Christ the King and we have lots of budding artists!

We follow planning throughout the school to help the children establish and become proficient in a variety of techniques including drawing, painting and sculpting. Children will also develop their knowledge of famous artists, designers and craft makers.

We enjoy frequent visits to the school from local artist Claire Flynn, who helps us to explore different techniques, whilst linking them to our faith. You can see lots of our collaborative work as you walk around the school.

Our Design and Technology units of work are taught discretely and aim to inspire children through a broad range of practical experiences.
