Friday 22nd May 2020 (Week 7)
Good morning Class 3,
We have made it to half term, how fast are the weeks going!
Children and teachers at home - you deserve a big pack on the back! You are all working so hard at home. I love to see the photos of your happy faces and have noticed you are all losing lots of teeth and I bet you have all grown so much taller.
Shout out to Elisa for being top scorer on Mathletics for another week and for receiving a silver certificate. (all of this weeks Mathletics certificates are posted below)
Extra shout out to Odin for a great piece of writing on The Ascension.
Also wishing a big Happy Birthday to Emilia for the 28th May. We hope you have the best day!
I hope you all have a lovely half term and lets hope this amazing sunshine stays for the week .
As we can't get away on holiday at the moment, I have posted some virtual tours and trips below so that we can explore and visit new places if we want to. You could draw and make your own postcard and email it to me to show me where you visited.
I am going to have a good rest and I will speak to you after half term.
Take care and stay safe
from Miss Duffin, Mrs Whelan and Mrs Healey
Miss Sullivan has given you all TT Rockstars logins to join in the school challenge. We have lots of great Mathletes that like a challenge and may like to start having a go. We have been learning to count in twos, fives and tens and haven't started on our times tables yet, but I know some of you have at home. Send me an email if you would like your login to TT Rockstars. Some of you with older brothers and sisters might know more about it.
I would encourage you to play the garage game as that is set for x1 and x10 tables only, so it is a good place to start and won't be too difficult.
Super movers is great for learning time tables, here is the link
Can you make a May altar for Mary?
You still have time to make an altar. Look in the Month of Mary star below to see the beautiful altars made so far.
I have added a new reading resource called Get Epic below (see reading star). You can read lots of amazing books. Take a look.
Calling all scientists Please see the message below from Mrs Jackson
CTK's Virtual Science Fair
Over the month of May, you have an opportunity to enter our Virtual Science Fair.
Entries must ask a scientific question and attempt to answer it. There are lots of examples online. It can be done on a piece of paper or recycled cardboard. Please email a photograph to your class teacher by the end of the month!
Certificates for the top 3 entries. Good Luck Scientists.
