Year 1 English
Spring Term
We have been reading Handa's Surprise and Handa's Hen. These books are about a girl who lives in Africa.
We have been looking for clues in the book that show the story is set in Africa.
The children were able to identify the different animals, the clothing the characters wore, the different landscape, the characters names and the tropical fruits.
As part of this topic we have created some watercolour paintings and tasted some new and exciting fruits.
