World Book Day

3rd March - Well done to our fantastic children for making such an effort with their costumes!

11th February - Today year five pupils read their own Greek myths to year one pupils. In pairs, year five pupils helped year one pupils to write their own Greek myths. This meant pupils had to discuss descriptive skills, punctuation, mythical monsters and sentence openers.

10th February - Orla produced a lovely piece of homework this week reminding all children to be a kind friend to everyone. Lottie was mentioned as a good friend, worthy of a golden star award! What a lovely reminder- we should treat others how we would like to be treated 👏🏻

8th February - Today we are working on Tony Mitton's poetry. We have written raps in groups about Greek mythology and we have independently written our own raps. Today we have also participated in performance poetry and writing poems in the style of Tony Mitton.

28th January- The children absolutely love their extended writing homework tasks. We have had some fabulous stories and character descriptions written this week. Here is a brilliant example created by Kyle:

18th January - Today we were very lucky to have a visit from M&M productions who performed the production 'Aladdin'. This helps towards the development of our English skills and our acting skills.

18th January - Paired reading with year two

7th January- We have been catching up on all of the exciting events over the Christmas break!

Today we have used the iPads to research pigs for our non-chronological reports.

A superb diary entry by Hannah!

Hot seating helped us to understand the thoughts and feelings of the main characters from 'The Sheep-Pig'.
